London-based singer-songwriter Fabiana Palladino started her career in her 20s, when as a young music student she started uploading demos to Myspace in 2007. After her debut-ep Long Nights of War was published in 2011, she ended up working mostly as a session musician, until after 13 years of expectation, her eagerly awaited eponymous debut album was released last year.

Combining R&B, soul, pop, and disco, with production values influenced from aesthetics of 80’s and 90’s, Palladino’s album started taking its final form in the midst of the emerging covid-19 crisis and an end of a relationship. After the break up – both personal and societal – Palladino moved to her parents and focussed on her next album.

The thorough work paid off: garnering praise and raving reviews, Fabiana Palladino presented melancholic pop music with a profound touch of the 80’s, that led critics to compare Palladino to visionaries such as Prince and Kate Bush. In a five-star review by The Guardian, the record was heralded as one of the best debut albums of 2024.

Born in a musical family, Palladino was joined in her album by her brother Rosso and her father Pino, a session musician legend known for his collaborations with superstars such as D’Angelo, Adele, Nine Inch Nails, and David Gilmour. In the footsteps of his father, Fabiana has also worked with the most renowned artists of her time, like Jessie Ware, on her 2017 album Glasshouse, and Lorde, on her recently released album Virgin. Palladino’s professional star is rising quickly, and her concert at Flow Festival will definitely be one of the highlights of the year.
