DJ Academy Helsinki will introduce you to the world of DJing at Flow Backyard. DJ Academy Helsinki is the place for everyone interested in DJ culture and playing music. In addition to weekly courses, DJ Academy offers events and masterclass sessions led by other industry professionals. There are no genre limits on the courses, you can come as you are and play the music style that suits you! You can jump in at any time, as the teaching is strongly individual, despite the group activities.

DJ FunkID

DJ FunkID is the sound of a new generation mixed with old school mentality and styles. Originally starting out at DJ Academy over 10 years ago, as a pure vinyl DJ playing rap and breaks mixed with funk, he has now transitioned that groove into house.

DJ Koolla

DJ Koolla is an energetic and colourful DJ, host, and drag artist based in Helsinki nightlife. Beginning their DJ journey at DJ Academy Helsinki, DJ Koolla has learned everything they know by attending the academy on a weekly basis. Known for their encyclopedic knowledge of music and a strong passion for broadening the genres they play, Koolla is always ready to take on whatever excitable crowd awaits on the dance floor and is never afraid to push their limits. Get ready for an unexpected and explosive experience!

Pyry Aalto

Pyry Aalto is a multifaceted artist from Helsinki, known for his energetic and natural performances as a singer, host, and DJ. His journey to becoming a disc jockey began at DJ Academy, where he now serves as an instructor.

Blurred Boy

Noel, also known as Blurred Boy, is a young and talented musician who discovered his passion for DJing at the 2023 Flow Festival. Just a year later, after training at DJ Academy, Blurred Boy took the stage at Flow Festival Family Sunday in 2024 and captivated the audience with his energetic performance. Since then, Blurred Boy has been getting crowds dancing with his sets that blend elements of drum and bass, house, and UK Garage.

Xornbane

Xornbane is an Espoo-based DJ and producer with roots in Estonia. He began his journey in 2024 at a DJ Academy, initially exploring DJing as a hobby. Since then, Xornbane has emerged as a rising name in the Hard Techno scene, known for creating unique sets that explore the full spectrum of Hard Techno subgenres. During time at the DJ Academy, Xornbane connected with many like-minded individuals and became part of the Descend collective, which is now known for organizing multi-genre raves across Helsinki.

WINGS

Originally from Helsinki. WINGS is a boundary-breaking DJ whose sets soar across the soundscape of Techno, Psytrance, and Drum & Bass. Known for high-energy transitions and deep, hypnotic flow, Wings doesn’t just play music—he builds journeys. With every drop and build-up, he creates space for freedom, connection, and raw emotion.

Artlius

Artlius is a young DJ from Helsinki who has always been passionate about electronic dance music. He attended the DJ Academy, where he learned the basics of DJing. Two months after that, he had his first 30 minute drum and bass set at tiivistämö on Helsinki Day. Soon after that, he was offered a set at Kallio Block Party.

Riekko

Riekko is a DJ and instructor at DJ Academy, who first caught the spark for mixing two and a half years ago while attending DJ Academy with a friend. Since then, they’ve been deeply hooked on music! Riekko mainly plays drum and bass — heavy, high-energy dance music where the basslines take center stage. They also love to sprinkle their sets with club classics, always with their own twist. Get ready to enjoy and vibe to their sound!

VeinZ

VeinZ is a part of the Kült collective and a member of DnB Finland. Creating events with love and playing music with passion, VeinZ brings a unique style to the decks — always aiming to give the crowd an unforgettable, feel-good experience. VeinZ has also collaborated with DJ Academy through projects such as BPM and various DJ workshops.

D R E Λ M E R is a passionate and active force in the rave scene, constantly pushing to make it more open, inclusive, and accessible for everyone. Behind the decks, he’s all about digging deep, uncovering hidden gems, and delivering unexpected sounds that keep the crowd guessing and moving. His sets are a journey, always aiming to surprise and inspire.
