Flow Festival’s Family Sunday expands, combining arts, crafts, music and dance

15. JULY 2026

Flow Festival’s beloved Family Sunday offers a diverse program, welcoming children to experience the festival’s unmatched atmosphere. The festival area is filled with dance and music workshops, arts and crafts, charming characters, and much more to see.

On Sunday, the festival gates open for children aged 12 and under, accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket. Children get to experience the festival area, take part in amusing activities, and enjoy live music from 13:00 to 17:00.

Family Sunday’s diverse program delights dance and music enthusiasts with Skidit disco marathon, filled with playful club music and dancing; DJ Academy Helsinki’s Pop-Up DJ Workshops led by talented DJs; and Helsinki Dance Institute’s two instructed dance sessions for the entire family to enjoy. In addition, Alvar Aalto Foundation organises a drawing workshop where visitors come together to observe the festival crowd and surrounding architecture. Museo Leikki offers a wide range of activities from a giant version of the iconic Kurkkumopo toy to a Kurkkumopo driving track, modelling clay workshop, and Neppis workshop.

In Moomin Arabia’s wonderfully whimsical mug workshop, children and parents can create their own mugs with the guidance of ceramic artist Heini Riitahuhta. Also in the festival area are Nordea’s stand with their gleeful blue mascot Jalmari, pavement chalk and a photobooth, Lyko’s sparkling face glitter and gems, and Vaasan’s Mums-game and fuzzy mascot. The City of Helsinki also brings its famous Seagull mascots to spread joy around the festival area.

On Sunday, the new Private Bazaar area will feature Hans Välimäki’s delicious Gina x Flow brunch, which the whole family can reserve in advance here. Flow Festival’s top restaurants will also be catering to families, and the summer day can be topped off with ice cream and treats from the likes of Ape Gelato, Teemu Aura’s Pullabiili, and Dolce Italia. Arvid Norqvist will also have purées and other snacks on offer for the littlest ones in the family.

During Family Sunday, Flow Festival stages present performances from Aili Järvelä, Arppa 8-pack, Jaakko Kulta and many others.
