Tero Männikkö and Ben Bostik belong to the most passionate ambassadors of Italo disco in Helsinki. Männikkö has organised Italo clubs in the local nightlife for 15 years already, currently running the club night Italo Disco at Tanner once a month. He also appeared in the 2018 Italian documentary film Italo Disco Legacy. As a DJ, Männikkö has a passion for obscurities, and his sets are a mix of the most valued rarities and bargain-bin classics.
Ben Bostik has recently played around Helsinki at Tanner’s Italo Disco club nights, Kaiku, and underground events. The wide-ranging selector and record collector has an ear for deep cuts and timeless sounds, and for this special B2B set, he curates surprising tracks of Italo disco and other synth-laced grooves.
