Nu Genea is the project of Neapolitan musicians Massimo Di Lena and Lucio Aquilina, blending the history of dance music with the city’s multicultural influences to create a distinctive, groove-driven sound. Their key works include The Tony Allen Experiments (2016), the Naples-dedicated Nuova Napoli (2018), and the Mediterranean-infused Bar Mediterraneo (2022), which cemented their reputation as innovative voices in contemporary world-groove music.
