- The Other Sound / SAT 15.8.
Minna Koskenlahti is a percussionist working at the intersection of experimental music, sound art, and performing arts. Her practice centres on the melodic and quietly sensitive dimensions of percussion instruments she pushes toward their limits and beyond. Through her music, Koskenlahti explores questions of power and otherness: colonialism, post-colonialism, and the use of fear as a political tool.
At Flow Festival, Koskenlahti’s sound engineer is Motoki Tanizawa, who has collaborated with artists such as Terry Riley and Tony Allen. Tanizawa also recorded Koskenlahti’s Mytty album, to be released by Japanese label ato.archives in October 2026.
