fourest is a Helsinki duo formed by Saana Schnabel and Ville MJ Hyvönen. Schnabel comes from classical music and architecture; Hyvönen has developed his practice through media art, theatre, and sound design.
Together, they explore the dynamic between classical instrumentation and electronic sound design. Acoustic warmth meets electronic precision in a sound that moves between cinematic atmosphere, techno, and minimalist ambient. Their live sets are built on real-time looping and sampling, making each performance unique.
At Flow, fourest performs as an immersive audiovisual act together with VJ artist Merle Karp.
