Finding Jens Hortling plays dark, dramatic guitar music shaped by the weight of 1990s alternative rock, the open melodic sweep of Britpop, and a trace of the shadowed grandeur associated with Nick Cave. The collaboration between singer Jens Hortling and musician-producer Lauri Eloranta has a deliberate sense of scale and an old-school approach to songwriting that lets the songs unfold at their own pace.
Both Eloranta and Hortling are cult figures within Finnish alternative rock. Hortling is known from the Helsinki garage rock band The Toxics, while Eloranta is best known for Damn Seagulls as well as his later work as a producer and musician.
Since releasing its first single in October 2025, the band has already stirred justified buzz in Finland. Their debut album will be released in spring 2026.
