Emilia Sisco is one of the most acclaimed Finnish soul artists of recent years. Her debut album, Introducing Emilia Sisco, released on Timmion Records, brought the singer-songwriter from a name cherished within Finland’s soul scene to a wider audience. Recorded with Cold Diamond & Mink, the album has also gained attention beyond Finland.

Sisco’s music is not a retro exercise. She writes songs where old-school warmth, gospel-rooted weight and Finnish melancholy share the same space. Timmion’s recognisable analogue aesthetic is evident in the sound, but Sisco does not rely solely on style. Her songs carry a sense of longing, restrained force and melodies that linger without grand gestures.

The Northern Lights give shape and backbone to the sound around Sisco. The rhythm section, horns, and backing vocals keep the songs moving, adding more weight to the records’ analogue warmth when brought to the stage.
