Ares

Ares is a Finnish-Greek rap artist whose name directly references the god of war — and the intensity is anything but symbolic. Signed to Rähinä Records, Ares has risen rapidly to the forefront of the new wave of Finnish rap with a style that is bold, defiant and uncompromising.

Released in January 2025, the album APATHIA gained gold in streams even before its official release and debuted straight at the top of Finland’s official album chart. Every track from the album entered the national charts. The biggest hits from the record include Menestys on paras tapa kostaa and Iha miten vaa (feat. Turisti & Averagekidluke). Guest appearances on the album include Jore & Zpoppa, Bizi and william.

Earlier in his career, the album Skala (2021) marked a breakthrough with the single Eihä? (feat. LEWI), and the HAHAHA EP, released in 2024 together with Bizi, expanded his range even further. Ares has also been featured on several major hits by other artists, including LEWI’s Uptown Baby and MD$’s Rajal.

Ares is currently one of the most closely followed and talked-about names in Finnish rap — an artist whose next move always draws attention.
