Ana Frango Elétrico is one of the most compelling artists in Brazilian music right now. Her sound brings together the Brazilian singer-songwriter tradition, Tropicália, bossa nova, funk, soul, jazz, indie and art rock in a way that feels bright but warmly melancholic. Ana Frango Elétrico seems to know exactly how far a pop song can be stretched without losing its deep respect for tradition.

Her debut album, Mormaço Queima, was released in 2018. Her second album, Little Electric Chicken Heart, earned a Latin Grammy nomination in 2020, and her third album, Me Chama de Gato Que Eu Sou Sua, received another nomination in 2024. The latter was also awarded Album of the Year by the São Paulo Association of Art Critics, and the successful tour that followed took the artist to 11 countries across three continents. Frango Elétrico is also a highly regarded producer and a Latin Grammy winner.

As a producer and songwriter, Frango Elétrico has a rare sense of how a song should be built and how it should sound. That same precision runs through her own music.
