Aili Järvelä: VUORIAili Järvelä: VUORI
- SUN 16.8.
Aili Järvelä is one of the most compelling Finnish singer-songwriters and composers working today. Moving between folk roots, original songwriting and larger orchestral forms, she has built a body of work that has grown steadily in scale and ambition.
Released in September 2025, VUORI firmly placed Järvelä among the most exceptional musical voices in Finland right now. The album won her the Teosto Prize, one of Finland’s major music awards, was nominated for the Critics’ Choice prize at the Emma Gala, the Finnish equivalent of the Grammys, and was named Album of the Year at the Indie Awards.
On Vuori, Järvelä composed, wrote, arranged and produced the entire album herself, drawing together pop, singer-songwriter writing and orchestral sound with unusual precision. At Flow, the work will be performed in full by Aili Järvelä, harpist Laura Hynninen, percussionist Sami Koskela, the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra and conductor Kaapo Ijas.
