Flow Festival’s 2025 edition was celebrated at the renewed festival area on the 8th–10th of August at Helsinki’s Suvilahti. A whopping 92,000 friends of music and urban culture gathered to enjoy the vast selection of around 150 artists, 40 restaurants, a talk program with daily changing themes and spectacular art installations around the festival area. Flow Festival 2025 was not short of high points, one of many being Charli XCX’s eagerly awaited powerhouse pop show, amassing a record-breaking audience of 26,000 people around the Main Stage. The Main Stage also had the pleasure of hosting Nigerian superstar Burna Boy, accompanied by his impressive ensemble of musicians and dancers, FKA twigs with her flawless performance, British rapper Little Simz, and French art pop duo Air, who performed their iconic Moon Safari album to an excited audience.

Electronic music was once again widely present at Flow. Having moved to a brand-new location, the beloved Front Yard drew a massive crowd of enthusiastic dancers into its industrial environment for the first time. The architecturally impressive red-brick industry buildings created a unique environment for the legendary venue. Stepping onto the new stage were some of the most exciting club music stars of our time, such as Joy Orbison, Avalon Emerson, Verraco, and Night Manoeuvre.
Flow Festival’s iconic Balloon 360° presented the finest in rhythm music from around the world, featuring the Brazilian legend Hermeto Pascoal, the New York-based soft rock band Infinity Song, the pioneer of Nigerian disco Oby Onyioha, and many more. Domestic names included the jazz group The Five Corners Quintet, celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album.
In total, Flow featured nearly 150 artists and groups, such as Underworld, Khruangbin, Yung Lean & Bladee, Lola Young, and Beth Gibbons. All of the performers of 2025 are listed at the end of the page.

Flow Festival’s 2025 food program offered unforgettable culinary experiences from around the world. The culinary lineup involved top chef Hans Välimäki’s Italian-inspired Gina X Flow pop-up restaurant, alongside a wide range of street food, fine dining, fusion cuisine, vegan pizza, and dishes from Georgian and Ukrainian kitchens. All tastes were covered – and in keeping with Flow’s commitment to sustainability, none of the restaurants served red meat or poultry. A new addition in 2025 was that all fish dishes at the festival were made using only fish caught in Finnish waters.
The Sustainable Food competition found a winner for 2025 as the jury decided to hand the title to Greenfinch, whose delicious dishes were a perfect combination of taste and sustainability.

Flow’s art program transformed Kattilahalli into a massive spatial artwork, where monumental video projections and The Other Sound venue merge into a unified immersive environment. Kalle Vainio’s The Land Where It Always Rains is a large-scale multimedia installation featuring ten reel-to-reel tape recorders, umbrellas, and projected video. In addition to Vainio, the creative team included Ville MJ Hyvönen and Merle Karp, responsible for the venue’s visual design.

In 2025, Flow brought themes such as artificial intelligence, creativity, and financial literacy to the forefront of societal dialogue. The Flow Talks program kicked off with Google’s Flow Talks AI discussion, where Minister of Science and Culture Mari-Leena Talvitie and Google’s AI lead Itxaso Araque talked about the possibilities of artificial intelligence. On Saturday, the Flow Talks Radical Creativity, hosted by Tietoevry Create and Aalto University, explored how everyone can foster bold creativity and adaptability in times of constant change. Saturday’s program also featured Flow Talks Dare to Dream, in collaboration with Nordea—a session that explored the role of money and finances in pursuing personal dreams. The program concluded on Sunday with the beloved journalistic performance “Musta laatikko” (Black Box) by Helsingin Sanomat.
