YvesTumor

Currently based in Turin, Italy, American musician Yves Tumor is known for his experimental pop music that challenges the boundaries of contemporary art and culture. Tumor’s music includes influences from the works of industrial and art music pioneers like Throbbing Gristle and the productions of David Bowie and Prince. Yves Tumor’s artistic arc – which continuously reinvents modern pop music – spans from rock to psychedelia, hip hop, and electronic music.

Attempts to compare and define Tumor’s music are often seen as unnecessary limitations, as the undefinable is hard to define. He blends restraint and chaos into soulful clarity; it dilutes reality by giving meaning to the abstract and allows dissonance to be seen and heard as harmony.

Released in 2023, Tumor’s fifth album, Praise a Lord Who Chews but Which Does Not Consume; (Or Simply, Hot Between Worlds), received critical acclaim and elevated the artist to perform at major festivals such as Coachella.
