Synteettinen Suomi is a long-time club concept by DJ Mikko Mattlar based on the early history of Finnish music relying on synthesizers. Besides DJ’ing, he has curated four compilation albums of the genre for Svart Records between 2018 and 2022 and written a book with the same topic where the artists themselves talk about their experiments many decades ago. Recently called the walking encyclopedia of Finnish electronic music in a Juno Records review, Mattlar will play a DJ set from the early years of the genre.
