Finnish cumbia, mildly psychedelic old-time rhythm and twisted but captivating swing. The eight-piece band Ne Galaktiset is something original in the Finnish indie and groove music scene. The band is like a seedy warm Columbian bar in Aki Kaurismäki’s film – a place where time has stopped in a strangely fascinating state. Ne Galaktiset released their self-titled debut album through cult label Helmi Levyt this April.
