MORA is a non-binary artist and a recurring name in Helsinki’s electronic music and club scene, who drives inspiration from old and modern Brazilian, Dominican, Latin American and South African genres. Mixed with broken beats and polyrhythms, they also switch up the pace by introducing their Middle Eastern Persian heritage.
Last year, in addition to playing across Finnish electronic music clubs and events, Mora also played in Berlin, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Tallinn, and Norberg in Sweden. The year 2024 also looks busy. In addition to playing multi-faceted and surprising DJ sets, Mora proudly represents and aims to make space for the queer and POC communities within the scene – keeping the roots of the music they love present and alive.
