Kampire

Kampire is a core member of the Nyege Nyege collective based in Kampala, Uganda, and one of the most interesting East African DJs today. She has been a familiar face on the festival collective’s visits to European clubs. She has also played many gigs as a solo artist at clubs and festivals on several continents. As a DJ, Kampire combines the past, present and future of African club music, and her vibrant and bass-heavy DJ sets are guaranteed to make the dancefloor irresistibly move. Within the last few years, Kampire has contributed to the DJ mix series of Resident Advisor, Dekmantel and Fact Magazine. As a Rinse FM host, she has lifted other talented DJs and artists from East Africa.
