IDLES

IDLES is a British punk rock band known for their exhilarating and fearless approach to music. With their debut album, Brutalism, in 2017, they made a mark in the music world, but it was their second album, Joy as an Act of Resistance, released in 2018, that propelled them to stardom. This album not only received critical acclaim but also won the 2019 Kerrang! Award for Best British Breakthrough Act.

In 2020, Idles released their third album, Ultra Mono, which featured collaborations with various artists, including Jehnny Beth, Warren Ellis, David Yow, and Jamie Cullum. The album showcased their ability to evolve their sound while staying true to their punk roots and reached the number-one spot on the UK Albums Chart.

Continuing their journey, Idles released Crawler in 2021, which delved into personal struggles, particularly frontman Joe Talbot‘s battle with addiction. This album marked a more introspective phase for the band while maintaining their signature intensity.

Now, in 2024, Idles have unleashed their fifth album, TANGK. Produced in collaboration with Kenny Beats and Nigel Godrich, this album represents their most ambitious work yet. It takes their raw punk-rock sound to new heights, solidifying their place as a powerful force in the punk and post-punk genres.

Idles’ music radiates resilience and a sense of belonging, making them a driving influence in contemporary punk rock.
