Recipient of the 2024 Yrjö Award from the Finnish Jazz Federation and one of Finland’s most esteemed jazz musicians, the bassist Antti Lötjönen, joins forces with the Berlin-based guitarist Kalle Kalima, who has built a strong career in Central Europe. Their collaboration brings together the experience of thousands of performances on international stages with the freshness of a new musical partnership.
In autumn 2024, the duo recorded the album Stings, Bites and Scratches, released by Eclipse Music on January 3, 2025. Both live and on the album, they present a boundless and imaginative journey into the heart of jazz and improvised music.
