DESIREE rose to fame quickly in her home country of South Africa as a DJ who fearlessly and stylishly mixes African-inspired house to techno, deep house, and other music with soulful and deep African vibrations.
Her debut EP Femme Tech was released in the summer of 2022, and her producer career has continued with several remixes, such as Pussy Power by Keinemusik and All I Need by LP Giobbi, the latter being released last summer. To mitigate the misrepresentation of the marginalised, Desiree has co-founded the women-led electronic music movement Boys Club, and she also uses her success to speak proudly about her experience as an intersex woman.
