Flow Festival Info

The Flow Festival info is open to business at Lasipalatsi’s “Akkuna” space, at the street level (entrance at Simonkatu). The info will be open August 9-12, 10am-6pm and August 13, 10-5pm. Press services, wristband exchange and Flow products are available at the info.

Can I return or change a ticket after purchase?

Bought tickets cannot be replaced or refunded.

What do I do if I lose my ticket?

The upkeep of tickets is the responsibility of the ticket holder.

Where can I find Flow Festival program brochures?

The festival brochures are available at bars, cafe’s, clubs, record stores, etc. in downtown Helsinki and Kallio (eg. Diesel Store, Beamhill, Beam, Carlings, Helsinki 10) and of course at the Flow Festival ticket outlets (Tiketti, Lippupiste, Stupido Shop).

FESTIVAL AREA AND SERVICES

What are the age limits for Flow Festival?

The age limit is 18 years. If asked, you are responsible for proving your age at the entrance.

On Sunday August 15., small children (0-10 years) are welcome to attend Flow Festival free of charge with their parents.

Can I go in and out of the festival area during the same day?

The two and three-day tickets will be exchanged for wristbands at the entrance. You can go out of the area and back in with the wristband. You cannot leave and re-enter the area with a one-day ticket.

Can I bring my own picnic set to the festival area?

Only snacks and small juice cans are allowed in the area. Bringing your own alcoholic drikns and any kind of bottled drinks into the festival area is forbidden.

The Flow Festival site is also a restaurant venue where at both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available from various bars. The food stalls available will be catering to a variety of tastes with their wide range of products. There are several water service points where the audience can refill water and soda bottles purchased from within the area. Please note that it is forbidden to bring your own drinks into the festival site.

Can I pay with credit card in the festival area?

The Flow Festival restaurants take cash and credit ard, including Visa Electron.

We encourage the use of cash in the festival area. This way you can be part of the solution, not the problem, in making the Flow Festival bars flow as queue-free as possible.

There is no ATM within the festival area. The nearest ATM is located near the metro station “Sörnäinen”.

Can I take photos at Flow?

Taking photographs for personal use is allowed. However, it is forbidden to use professional photographic equipment without a permit. Please also remember to respect the privacy of other festival goers. It is strictly forbidden to record audio or video or to bring video cameras into the area without a permit.

Can I arrive at Flow by a wheelchair?

The Flow Festival area in its entirety is approachable by wheelchair.

Where can I find lost property at the festival?

During the festival, you can make inquiries about lost property at the accreditation stand located at the entrance by Sörnäisten Rantatie.

After the event, the property at lost and found  is delivered to the lost and found office “Suomen Löytötavarapalvelu”, Mäkelänkatu 56, tel. +358 (0)600 41006.

Is there a parking space for cars near the area?

There is no parking room for cars at or near the festival area. The Suvilahti festival area is located near the Helsinki city centre and is conveniently reachable by public transport options, including metro and bus. It is also advisable to come to the are by bicycle.

This time around, the Flow Festival entrance includes a bicycle parking area, which is located on the side of Sörnäisten Rantatie. Please note that the main entrance does not feature a place to park your bicycle, so using the area meant for this purpose is advisable.

The queues at the festival area WC’s were quite long last year. Will there be more facilities available this year?

Yes. There will be more toilets, and they will be more clearly marked than previously.

Can I bring an umbrella into the festival area?

Bringing umbrellas to the festival area is forbidden. This is important in order to order the security and clear vision to the stage at the venues.

Is there a cloakroom at the festival area?

Yes, there are two cloakrooms; by the main entrance at Kalasatama and by the press and guest entrance at Sörnäisten Rantatie. The cloakroom service costs 2 euros.

What accommodation services are available in Helsinki during Flow?

How can I volunteer to work at Flow Festival?

Flow Festival recruits some 200 volunteers this year. You can apply via the Flow internet site by filling in this form (in Finnish only).
