Flow Festival releases first acts and 2012 dates
Flow has announced the first artists on the 2012 line up. Icelandic superstar Björk (Björk.com, Facebook) will make one of her rare “Biophilia” tour appearances at Flow on Sunday, the closing day of the festival. Festival proceedings kick off on Wednesday 8 August when Bon Iver (Boniver.org, Facebook) performs at the Opening Concert organised on site at the Blue Tent venue.
Flow tickets go on sale at the Tiketti outlets on Wednesday 7 December at 9 am. First released on sale are the Wednesday and Sunday single day tickets, the three day festival ticket, and the full festival pass including the Flow weekend plus the Opening Concert. Flow Festival will take place in Helsinki’s Suvilahti on 8–12 2012.
As the ticket touting at the 2011 event was excessive, Flow and Tiketti will introduce new guidelines for ticket purchases, namely requiring ticket holders to be identified upon ticket purchase. This new practice aims at enabling the availability of as many Flow Festival 2012 tickets as possible at the standard retail price at the official ticket outlets.
