The popular X Garden club concept complements Flow Festival's electronic music program
Flow Festival is thrilled to announce the program for X Garden, an electrifying club concept that brings together a unique, curated selection of club music each day, programmed by three distinct collectives. As a staple of the festival, X Garden highlights the vibrant diversity of club culture. On Friday, the "bimbotechno collective" Sluts Against Techno, which amplifies the voices of gender minorities and women, takes over the program. Saturday shifts the focus to African dance music with What’s On Joseysradios?, while Sunday celebrates female and queer artists with Star Kids.
On Friday, August 8, Sluts Against Techno, a Helsinki-based DJ group calling itself the city's first "bimbotechno collective," will take over X Garden. The collective amplifies the voices of queer and gender minorities and women, creating an inclusive atmosphere where everyone can have fun as their true selves. The program includes DJ Fuckoff, a Germany-based DJ, producer, and MC known for delivering positive, carefree energy, provocative lyrics, and high-tempo electronic music. Clementaum, an artist from Paraná, Brazil, will also perform, bringing her electrifying stage presence and versatile musical style that has made waves in the global club scene.
The b2b set by Evissimax and s4int nich0las will showcase a fusion of techno, rap, electro, Afro, Jersey club, and fast, percussive beats. The good time girl will keep the energy high with her flirty remixes, uplifting bass, and euphoric moments. CNA will deliver body-moving music that spans eurotrance, baile funk, and Finnish rap. Also performing on Friday are Sala, known for her bass-heavy and high-energy style, and DJ SNAPDRAGON, who will add fun and unexpected twists to the stage with her blend of jungle, techno, trance, and Afrobeat.
On Saturday, August 9, the stage will be taken over by What’s On Joseysradios?, a community and event centered on African music. The curator of Saturday’s program, DJ Joseysradios, creates a space for togetherness and dance, while the South African heavyweights Major League DJz will bring their high-octane amapiano energy to the floor. Togolese-Finnish Will Nams and Filipino-Finnish Kuya Kain will deliver irresistibly groovy sets that blend amapiano and Afro house, showcasing their unique sound. DJ Seben will energize the crowd with his vibrant performances, positive attitude, and strong stage presence. Ghanaian-Finnish DJ Qwelz will combine Afrobeats, hip hop, amapiano, Afro house, and R&B in her dynamic sets. The Helsinki-based DJ collective NOSLEEP draws inspiration from the raw energy of the UK's underground and pirate radio stations in their sets, while Helsinki MC Enoch Gyasi will keep the crowd energized all night long.
On Sunday, August 10, X Garden will feature Star Kids, a club concept that celebrates anyone who wants to be a star, with a special focus on those who enjoy having fun. Joining the Sunday program and making their first appearance in Helsinki at Flow Festival, Jamaican-Canadian DJ-producer BAMBII creates exciting and futuristic electronic music, blending dancehall, hyperpop, UK garage, drum'n'bass, and jungle. Cuban-Spanish TOCCORORO, one of Spain's top queer club DJs, will mix Latin American rhythms with the most exciting current electronic music sounds.
Also joining the program is 2THEMAX, a Helsinki-based DJ phenomenon and co-founder of Korgy parties, known for his high-energy sets as a resident DJ. Katvyl, another Helsinki-based DJ, is known for her mysterious, edgy style and her bold, energetic, genre-defying club sound. Nea2ᴋ, also from Helsinki, brings a genre-free sound that spans from Latin club to dubwise and dembow, while Aino Collin, the founder of the Star Kids club concept, will bring her confident, flashy, and fun sound to X Garden. Out of Sync, a boy band sensation composed of four drag kings, will deliver an unforgettable stage show that combines dance, lip-syncing, and comedy. Finally, she’s so annoying!!! explores different facets of womanhood and will also join X Garden’s Sunday program.
Unfortunately, previously announced TSHA has canceled her performance at Flow on Front Yard's Sunday.
