A record-breaking number of 92,000 festival-goers arrived in Helsinki’s Suvilahti to attend Flow Festival’s 2025 edition. Selling out both on Saturday and Sunday, the final day of the festival provided sublime electropop that took no prisoners, classic and traditional American rhythms , and extremely tight club beats. All this was surrounded by the unique atmosphere of Suvilahti.

With popularity soaring in stratospheric levels, the electro-pop superstar Charli XCX’s eagerly awaited show in Flow Sunday fulfilled even the most highest expectations. Revered and loved by virtually everybody, the innovator and ”brat” of electro-pop amassed a record-large audience in Suvilahti. The immense crowd danced the whole way through the performance, turning wild after the Finnish pop star Alma turned out to be the “Apple Girl” for the artist’s performance. Meanwhile, in Silver Arena Fontaines D.C. delivered their melancholic power rock with irresistible energy that electrified the venue to its limits. A different kind of mood was provided by Khruangbin with their soft reverb guitars and hypnotic rhythms, caressing the audience while the sun set behind the unique Suvilahti premises.

Arp Frique & The Perpetual Singers had a groove you simply couldn’t resist – which nobody didn’t – yet the true crown jewel of the venue was the Los Angele-based trio LA LOM. Blending styles from local traditions of their hometown, the ultra-cool masters of vintage rhythm turned out to be one of the most unforgettable moments of the already iconic venue. The show was enhanced by the breathtaking visuals provided by Sun Effects that decorated the nearby industrial building with colourful light art that blended together with Balloon’s shimmering tones.

Another kind of beat was struck in Flow Sunday’s electronic music venues. Warmly welcomed by the clubbing audience, the renewed Front Yard and its dancefloor was commanded by the Berlin-based techno icon Ellen Allien, while X Garden’s BAMBII accelerated everybody into uncontrolled rave in the end of the festival weekend. hillittömiin reiveihin viikonlopun päätteeksi.
