Blonde Redhead is an American alternative rock band formed in New York City in 1993. The band consists of Kazu Makino and twin brothers Simone and Amedeo Pace. They are known for their unique sound that has evolved over the years, incorporating elements of noise rock, dream pop, shoegaze, and other genres.

The band’s early years were marked by their distinctive noise rock influences, and their self-titled debut album was released in 1995. Their music evolved on succeeding albums, and a significant turning point was the release of Misery Is a Butterfly in 2004, which showcased a new sound characterized by haunting melodies and introspective lyrics.

Blonde Redhead continued to explore this new sound in subsequent albums, and after individual pursuits, the band reunited to create their tenth album, Sit Down for Dinner, released in September 2023. The album reflects mature themes and showcases the band’s characteristic honesty and melancholic pop.

Blonde Redhead has faced challenges throughout their career, including internal conflicts and personal struggles, but their creative connection remains strong. The trio’s ability to bring out the best in each other has been a driving force behind their music. Despite their past romantic involvement, they now share a creative bond that transcends their personal history.
