Big Boi, Caribou and Magnetic Man to play Flow 2010-06-15

The Flow Festival line up has been completed! New international acts in the bill are Big Boi, one half of the trail blazing US hip hop duo Outkast, the Canadian indie-electro innovators Caribou, and Magnetic Man, the supergroup of dubstep stars Skream and Benga. Each of the artists perform in Finland for the first time with an eagerly-awaited new album under their belt.
In addition to noteworthy international bookings, the Flow Festival line up receives new additions in Finnish acts Uusi Fantasia, Circle, Kemmuru and Dinosauruxia. First-rate experimental Finnish music will be presented at the Tiivistämö venue, where artists such as Islaja, Pekko Käppi, Tomutonttu and Ville Leinonen, among others, are set to perform. Additionally, the Tiivistämö room will feature an art installation by the artist duo Grönlund-Nisunen, and a club night entitled ”Finns Do It Better” on Saturday.

A whole new addition at Flow is the short film concept ”Future Shorts”, taking residence at the newly-added venue Film Garage. In addition to new cinema, the space will host a performance by guitarist Kalle Kalima’s ”Pentasonic” solo concept. Late nights at the Film Garage are hosted by some of Finland’s foremost DJ collectives. The Flow Sunday program broadens in scope with the addition of acclaimed children’s music band Sintti Silmusuu. As in the previous editions, children of 0-10 years of age are free to attend the Flow Festival Sunday in the company of their parents.

The previously announced Flow performance of Wovenhand will not take place due to the altered touring schedule of the band.

The Flow Festival ticket sales have continued at a speed higher than that of previous years’, with especially the three-day tickets being hot items at the sales outlets.
