Jenny Wilson (SWE)

One of Sweden’s finest indie artists, Jenny Wilson is a singer who makes subtle electronic pop. Producing her material herself, she combines sophisticated, personal songwriting with catchy tunes and clever arrangements in a way reminiscent of artists such as Kate Bush and Stina Nordenstam, while being utterly original.
Wilson started her musical career singing in a band called First Floor Power in 1997. After two albums with the band, she released her critically acclaimed solo debut Love and Youth in Sweden on The Knife’s label Rabid Records in early 2005. The album was eventually re-released internationally, which brought her to a whole new level of popularity.
When playing live, Jenny is accompanied by her sister Sara Wilson as well as Lina Selleby and Andreas Söderström. Finns got an unforgettable taste of Jenny Wilson’s unique voice and strong stage presence when she performed to a thrilled crowd at sold-out Tavastia club in Helsinki in April 2006.
