hannulelauri (FIN)
hannulelauri is a project of DJ Ender, also a part of Nuspirit Helsinki, and Lauri Soini. The group is just one year old, but they already have produced a lot of material together. Hannu and Lauri, both inspired by 1980s pop, electronic disco, deep house, Berlin’s techno-dub and Detroit techno, are also a common sight in the DJ booths of many Helsinki-based clubs.
Still waiting for an official release, hannulelauri’s blend of “laser disco”, featuring emotional chords and warm basslines, has already made a bit of a stir in the Finnish clubland. It has also been noticed in the offices of some renowned record labels based in Central Europe. Their live performance at Flow features the Tampere-based indie rock character Janne Laurila as a vocalist.
