Jori Hulkkonen is among Finland’s most prolific electronic musicians. Since his 1993 debut on his own Lumi records, he has released eight artist albums, about seventy singles and around fifty remixes spanning genres from house to Detroit influenced techno and beyond. This year saw also the release of the 1980s indie pop influenced debut album by Processory, which is Jori’s project with singer Jerry Valuri. Jori’s next solo album will be out in early 2008, once again on the F Communications label.
As a popular DJ, Jori has performed all around Europe as well as in the United States, Israel, United Arab Emirates and New Zealand in the last twelve months only, but it’s been two years since his last live performance. The premiere of the brand new Jori Hulkkonen live set gives a chance to hear new material from the forthcoming album.
