Architecture in Helsinki (AUS)

Australian indie wonder Architecture in Helsinki finally makes it to the city which gave the band their name. Known for their complex yet catchy songs, the group fuses their art-pop with everything from folk to classical and roots music to electronic sounds. The multi-instrumentalist band plays everything from tuba to analog synthesizers and glockenspiel to traditional guitar, bass and drums.
Formed in the turn of the century in Melbourne, Architecture in Helsinki released their first album Fingers Crossed in 2003. The band developed their sound more with In Case We Die (2005), which gained them further praise and solidified their position among today’s most unique indie bands. This May the band returned with a new single called Heart It Races, which is a glorious example of their wild and crazy yet totally lovable style. The single is taken from their third album Places Like This, to be released in August, so brand new material will surely be heard on the upcoming tour as well.
