Luomo (FIN)

Sasu Ripatti, 31, is among the most internationally renowned Finnish electronic musicians. His wide output ranges from experimental compositions to club-friendly dance music. Vladislav Delay is his pseudonym for his ambient output, while in the clubs he’s known as Luomo.
Sasu Ripatti put out his first self-released record in 1997. Around the turn of the century he was already well known, and since then he has released dozens of records, including one album on the major label BMG in 2003. Recently he has switched to releasing most of his output on his own label Huume in order to gain total artistic control. Born in Oulu, Finland, Ripatti is now based in Berlin, travelling relentlessly to gigs all over the world.
Rarely appearing in Finland, Ripatti’s last time in Helsinki saw him play to a sold out Kiasma theater last year as Vladislav Delay. This, however, is the first Luomo show in Helsinki since he graced the main stage of the electronic music festival Koneisto in 2003.
