Quiet Village (UK)
Formed by experienced British DJs and producers Matt Edwards (aka Radio Slave) and Joel Martin (aka DJ Zeus), Quiet Village has already developed a steady cult following, even though they have little recorded output. That is partly due to their releases on one of today’s hottest labels, Whatever We Want Records. The label’s vinyl releases regularly become collectors items because of their limited print runs, gorgeus cover art, and high quality, of course. The duo is currently working on their debut album, which fortunately makes their hazily cinematic mid-tempo sound collages available for more than just the quickest record collectors.
Quiet Village’s sound is built on vast music archives and a solid taste for samples. In Flow, Joel Martin will do a set consisting of gems unearthed from all around the globe - psychedelic disco, hypnotic rock, obscure soundtracks and electronic curiosities.
