Eleanoora Rosenholm (FIN)
The city of Pori, located on the west coast of Finland, is known as an origin of interesting and unique bands. Rosenholm is among the latest on the scene, though its members come from already established Pori-based bands. Pasi Salmi plays keyboards in the postrock band Magyar Posse and Noora Tommila sings in Lowlife Rock’n’roll Philosophers. A leading figure of Finnish art-pop, Mika Rättö is best known for his work in the bands Circle and Kuusumun Profeetta.
Rosenholm’s charming and clever avantgarde pop may well become the next Finnish language hit for the Fonal label, following the steps of Risto and TV-Resistori. The band’s debut album is expected to hit the shelves later this year.
